Recommend me some that I haven't seen. Please. I've exhausted my current list and need to create a new one.

Cabin in the woods is my favorite, even though it's not really Horror... More just meta-horror. Slither, obviously the evil dead (the remake was actually good too), insidious, the first vhs anthology has some really good ones, I'll think if better things later.

Yeah, I know I've seen more that I like, but probably nothing you haven't seen. Horror movies that I actually think are good are hard for me to find, especially modern ones; I mostly stick to classics.

Tucker and Dale versus Evil is another one that's not technically horror that I love though.

I wish someone would make a cinematic version of the shadow over innsmouth or house of leaves. If those were done well, they could be fantastic. House of Leaves would definitely lose something in the transition, but I could still see it being a good, layered film.

The movie version of John Dies at the End is pretty entertaining, and made by the same guy who did phantasm and bubba hotep

The last movie that genuinely scared me was pet semetary when I was like 7.

My dad was a horrible parent (and by horrible, I mean great) who kept me up watching horror films every weekend from the time I was able to sit up without assistance, so I'm that person that everyone hides behind while watching horror movies. But I do love them (thanks dad), and even if I don't "scare" I can still appreciate a nice creepy atmosphere.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I definitely prefer movies that build creepy atmosphere, and a genuine feeling of tension, rather than just going for cheap jumps.

Are you me? My dad's idea of punishment was making me stay in the living room while him and his friends got high and watched Scream.
Probably for the best that I only saw him on alternating weekends.

Speaking of Finland, I'll stick Rare Exports under here as a recommendation. Not exactly horror, but if you haven't seen it, give it a go.

I loved that movie so much, although I felt that the shorts that the film was based on are almost better than the actual movie.
