Mine's definitely House of Leaves.
I just randomly stumbled upon it one night while on a wikipedia journey, and, after reading a bit about it, immediately ordered it on impulse from Amazon. It was definitely one of my better impulse purchase, though I know some day that mini wireless spy cam is going to come in handy.....

I would have to say lord of the rings, that being said I am currently reading game of thrones and it is really good

LotR is also one of my all-time favorites, and I probably would have listed it as my favorite book back in high school, hands down. I haven't gotten into GoT yet, but all my friends rave about them, and I like all the gay incest dragon /pushups in the small bit of the show that I've seen.

I'm still on the first one but I don't think I will be finishing it any time soon bc of eso (if I can ever get back online -_-)

Also so far The Name of the Wind series is fantastic, even though it's gonna be a while until the last book comes out. I'm a big fan of Game of Thrones too. The gratuitous booby showing is more of an HBO being all "lookit what we can do cuz we're cable" thing than a Game of Thrones thing. /pushups is mentioned a bit and there's prostitutes n' junk but it's not a main theme or anything.
Ooooh and the Mistborn trilogy by Brandon Sanderson is excellent.
I'm a big fan of poor/orphan child becoming magical and stupid-powerful. Luckily that's the background of like any fantasy hero ever.

This is such a hard question for me to answer. I like so many books that I almost can't bear to pick a favorite, but if I have to, I suppose it'd be 100 Years of Solitude, because it gave me so many feels. It's the only book I've read that I started reading again the moment I finished it, then when I finished it the second time, I gave it to my ex to read and I read it over his shoulder while he read it.

My favorite fantasy series is probably Tales From the Flat Earth, especially the second book, Death's Master, which I've read many times. I've also given it as a gift to many people, who proceeded not to read it. Bastards. I also like Game of Thrones, of course, and Lord of the Rings, and I have a real fondness for Holly Black's Faerie Tale series as well.

Oh and speaking of GRRM, he wrote a vampire novel called Fevre Dream which is so far from Game of Thrones it's hard to believe it's by the same author, but it's actually pretty good. If you're in the mood for something different (vampires who don't sparkle) then I can recommend it.

I'll also say that House of Leaves is one of the better horror novels I've read. As horror, cosmic horror and horror fantasy go, I do like me some Lovecraft, and Poe, and Machen, and Thomas Ligotti. I thought Choir of Ill Children by Piccarilli was good, but I can't recommend any of his other books, It's as if Choir was a fluke. As flawed as Ramsey Campbell can be, I still enjoy most of his books. I find Clive Barker to be hit and miss. His earlier efforts are more hit, and his more recent stuff is more miss.

Joe Haldeman tops my list of Science Fiction writers. All My Sins Remembered is one of my favorites, and I also like The Forever War. Also, William Gibson, Neal Stephenson, and many of the usual suspects. I'll read just about anything 40K related, no matter how awful. I will also confess to having written 375,000 words of 40K fanfic. Don't judge me.

Gah, I feel like this list is woefully short, but when it comes to books, I could probably write a book on all the books I like, sooooo I'll leave it here for now.
